Ethan Carter had always been a curious soul, forever asking questions and seeking answers where others saw none. As he walked down the familiar street, his mind buzzed with the possibilities of his new venture. "A detective agency," he mused aloud, the words tasting both thrilling and daunting. The neighborhood had seen its share of petty crimes, and Ethan was determined to make a difference.
Mrs. Thompson, who lives in House no. 20 approached Ethan with a worried expression. "Ethan, you must help me! "Its my grandmother's necklace", she explained, "It vanished from my Jewelery box". He understood the urgency in her voice and went along with her to check the crime scene. She rang the bell, her servant Mr. Noland who has been working with her for the past years opened the door. She was unmarried with no immediate family to care. Jensen looked around the house and spoke to the servant about his routine. He smelled lavender while listening intently. He then looked at Mrs. Thompsons worried face and said ," I will help you find it".
He then curiously looked at Noland , her servant from top to bottom. His mind already piecing together clues. He then looked Noland's fingers and went to check the background of the house. He quickly followed the lavender smell coming from her garden and suddenly found a recently dugged up spot. He found the necklace next to a Lavender Plant. When asked , Noland confessed that he had stole it and hid it when she went to the agency.
The next morning like every other day, he went to Mr. Bently, the Local Baker to get some Breakfast. He got the shock of his life when he saw the helper that Mr. Bently had hired few days back. He fits the exact description of the previous night's intruder's profile. He quickly maintained his calm and went long with the casual pleasantries without letting the culprit know his next move. Without wasting any further time, he secretly phoned the Sheriff and waited for the moment of truth.
