Luca, Mara, and Finn set up their campsite, laughter echoing through the trees. "I can't believe we're finally doing this! A weekend away from everything," Luca exclaimed, his eyes shining with excitement.
"I've heard this forest holds all sorts of secrets," Mara added, her voice tinged with intrigue.
"Well, let's see if we can uncover one," Finn replied, a mischievous grin spreading across his face.
Luca stopped abruptly, pointing at something gleaming in the dirt. "Look at that! Is it a coin?"
Mara crouched beside him, brushing away the soil. "It's definitely an old coin! And there's more!" she exclaimed, excitement bubbling in her voice.
Finn joined them, eyes wide. "This could be a treasure trove," he suggested, his heart racing with the thrill of discovery.
Mara sat back on her heels, her expression a mix of amazement and disbelief. "This must be worth a fortune," she murmured.
"But how did it get here?" Luca wondered aloud, glancing around the forest as if expecting someone to appear.
"I've heard stories of a bank heist years ago," Finn recalled, piecing together the mystery. "The robbers were never caught, and the loot was never found."
Luca surveyed their surroundings, a newfound edge to his voice. "If the robbers are still out there, they might come back for this," he warned.
Mara nodded, her earlier enthusiasm replaced by caution. "We need to decide what to do with it," she said, her tone serious.
Finn looked at his friends, determination in his eyes. "We can't keep it. It's not ours, and it's dangerous," he concluded.
"We should report it to the authorities," Mara suggested, her voice steady.
Luca hesitated before agreeing. "It's the right thing to do. We can't let greed cloud our judgment," he admitted.
Finn nodded, a sense of relief washing over him. "Let's pack it up and head back. We can stop by the police station on our way out tomorrow," he proposed.
Mara glanced back at the forest, gratitude in her eyes. "We found something incredible, but we also found out who we really are," she reflected.
Luca smiled at her words, feeling a sense of pride. "And that’s worth more than any treasure," he agreed, as they drove away, ready to face whatever the future held.
