Francesco sighed deeply, staring out at the rain-soaked street. The argument with Sara had left a void in his heart, one he could no longer ignore. He picked up his phone, hesitating before typing a simple message. "Hi Sara, how are you?" He read it over and over, questioning whether it was enough. The piano notes seemed to echo his doubt.
Sara stepped out of the shower, her heart skipping a beat as she saw Francesco's name on her phone. She opened the message, and her eyes widened at the words that appeared: "My love, my little heart is only missing you, I love you like before and more than before....I dream of you here, hugging me." She couldn't believe her eyes, her heart now racing with hope and joy.
Francesco paced the room, questioning the sudden surge of emotion in his message. Just as doubt began to settle in, the doorbell rang. Hesitant yet hopeful, he opened the door to find Sara standing there, her eyes glistening with unspoken words. Without a single utterance, she threw her arms around him, and they embraced tightly, feeling the warmth and love reignite between them.
Rufino tilted his head, puzzled yet intrigued by the sudden change in his humans. Just then, a voice broke the silence. "Hey kitty, I was really clever this time! Don't you think?!" The cat turned to see the source of the voice—a glowing cell phone. "Look at a cell phone that talks to cats! What new technology!" he exclaimed.
Cello chuckled softly. "What technology! I am Cello, the little spirit of sincerity!" Rufino blinked in disbelief. "The little spirit of sincerity? Oh! For a thousand milk-soaked kibbles, this is good! And why are you in my master’s phone?" Cello explained, "I had a mission to accomplish... I edit messages and send what the sender’s heart truly wishes to say...."
Rufino watched Francesco and Sara in their embrace, understanding the magic at play. "Well done, Cello! By doing what you did, people truly express what they feel...and sincerity wins over everything. Meow," he purred. Cello nodded, "Yes, my beautiful kitty...one of the most important ingredients of happiness is sincerity...without calculations and tricks, without trickery and lies. But now I must go and fly to another cell phone...so others, like Sara and Francesco, can live sincerely and happily!"
