Jiya was already awake, her mind buzzing with anticipation as she prepared for another day at school. Her thoughts drifted to Ahad, the boy who had been a constant thorn in her side but also the focus of her deepest affections.
[@ch_1]Jiya[/@ch_1_d]"Why does he always have to be so annoying?"[/@ch_1_d] she muttered to her best friend.
Sara, her confidante and voice of reason, shrugged. "Maybe because he knows it bothers you. But don't let him get to you, Jiya."
Jiya sat on the swing, replaying the events of the day in her mind. She remembered the moment she first realized her feelings for Ahad, a revelation that had changed everything. "I can't believe I still like him after all these years," she admitted to the empty park.
Ahad watched Jiya from across the room, noticing the way she interacted with his family, her laughter infectious. For the first time, he felt a twinge of something unfamiliar—admiration.
[@ch_2]Ahad[/@ch_2_d]"Jiya, I've been thinking..."[/@ch_2_d] he began, unsure of how to continue.
Jiya looked at him, her heart pounding. "About what?"
"About us. I didn't see it before, but now I can't imagine my life without you."
Jiya and Ahad sat together on the couch, their baby boy nestled between them. "Who would have thought we’d end up here?" she mused with a smile.
"Not me," Ahad chuckled, wrapping an arm around her. "But I wouldn't change a thing."
