Aiden sits at his desk, absentmindedly doodling an apple plummeting through the air, his pencil looping lazily across the page.
Elina sits across from him, flipping through her textbook, her hair catching the golden light and shimmering softly.
"If Newton was right, then every action has an equal and opposite reaction," he whispers, trying to catch her attention.
"So technically, a kiss is just the transfer of momentum and energy between two bodies?" Her eyes sparkle with mischief as she grins at him.
Aiden[/@ch_1] and Elina walk side by side, their backpacks slung over one shoulder. Trees ripple in the breeze, scattering golden leaves onto the sidewalk, and the sky glows with the last blush of sunset.]
A comfortable silence stretches between them, only broken by the occasional giggle as they replay their classroom banter.
"So, are you coming to dinner tonight? My parents want to meet you," Elina asks, her cheeks flushed with anticipation.
"Only if we get to continue our physics experiments," Aiden teases, earning a playful nudge.
Elina helps her mother stir the fragrant sauce, laughter bubbling up between them.
Aiden fidgets with napkins at the table, stealing glances at Elina for reassurance as voices float around him.
"Relax, Aiden. They won’t bite," she whispers, squeezing his hand beneath the table.
"Easy for you to say. You’re not the one facing parental gravitational pull," he replies, grinning sheepishly.
Aiden answers questions about his interests, his voice wavering but earnest.
When Elina’s father asks about their physics project, Aiden’s cheeks color and he laughs nervously.
"We were, um, discussing the physics of a kiss in class," he admits, glancing at Elina.
"It’s all about momentum and energy transfer, Dad," she chimes in, winking at Aiden as laughter bubbles around the table.
Elina reaches up, her finger tracing a line along Aiden’s jaw, her smile soft and inviting.
"For science," she whispers.
"Purely experimental," Aiden agrees, before their lips meet in a gentle, electrifying kiss.
As they pull apart, shy exhilarated smiles bloom between them, and the equations from class fade into a memory, replaced by something electric and real.
"Maybe some forces aren’t meant to be measured," she murmurs, leaning her head on his shoulder.
"Yeah," he replies.
They lay together, rolling gently in Elina’s bed, the world outside fading to a quiet hush as their laughter turns to tender whispers.
"Do you want to go to bed together?" Elina asks, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Sure." He smiles, and they share another kiss, hearts racing as the sun dips below the horizon.
"See you during science class, nerd," Elina teases, a grin tugging at her lips.
"You too," Aiden replies, but before he can breathe, Elina leans in and kisses him, sealing their shared experiment with the purest energy of all.
