Derek Dustin, a CGI singer with pixel-perfect features and a faint electric shimmer, paces nervously behind the curtain. His band, the Pixel Buddies, have just finished their debut live performance. From the crowd, Molly Maxwell, a vivacious Toon actress with flowing golden hair, animatedly weaves her way backstage, her oversized cartoon eyes sparkling with adoration.
"Derek! I’m your biggest fan. Your music—it’s like a dream in code," she gushes, her voice bubbling with cartoonish charm. Derek blushes, and as their eyes meet, both their pupils morph into shimmering heart symbols, pulsing to the beat of their racing hearts.

"Uh, Molly? I think I’m…malfunctioning," he stammers, voice warbling into synthetic static. A trio of programmers rush in, fingers flying over keyboards, lines of debugging code illuminating their faces. Molly grabs his hand, her touch restoring some of his clarity, as the programmers stabilize his digital core.
Rocky Raptor, a bandmate with neon scales and a toothy grin, peeks in, offering an awkward thumbs-up. The glitch fades, leaving behind laughter and shy glances.

They serenade each other, improvising love songs that blend digital synths with animated harmonies, drawing smiles from passersby. Their voices intertwine, laughter echoing through the park as they invent silly lyrics about glitchy hearts and magical kisses. Nearby, the Pixel Buddies jam along, while Molly's animal friends, a curious rabbit and a bashful bluebird, watch from the hedges.
Derek introduces Molly to his programming team, a diverse group of hoodie-clad geniuses. Rocky Raptor, ever the showman, attempts to charm Molly's animal friends, who initially huddle in fear behind her legs.
"Don’t worry, pals—I’m all teeth, no bite! I’m just here for the music," he jokes, eventually coaxing the bunny onto his dino-sized sneaker. The tension melts, replaced with laughter and a round of digital-animated high fives.
Molly beams as she introduces Derek to Alison Winter, the visionary show creator, and Starshine Unicorn, her majestic, winged co-star. Chuck Maxwell, Molly’s original artist and father-figure, sketches quick portraits of the couple in his notepad.
"We’ve never had a CGI singer in Cartoon Town before. You’re a trailblazer, Derek," Alison says warmly, as Starshine prances nearby, glittering hooves leaving twinkling prints.
At the altar stands Fuschia Carbot, the towering robotic mayor who gleams in the sunlight, her pink car doors folded like wings. Derek and Molly face each other, hands entwined, as they prepare to sing their vows. The band strikes a chord, and the couple’s voices blend in a heartfelt duet, their words painting promises of love, laughter, and harmony for all to hear.
"By the powers of code and cartoon, I now pronounce you pixel and pen, husband and wife!" declares Fuschia, her voice echoing through the crowd as cheers erupt and hearts—both digital and drawn—beat as one.
