Samantha, wearing a sundress and sandals, hesitates at the pool gate, clutching a small bouquet of daisies. She checks her phone, glancing toward the pool house, where the sound of music drifts out.
Ethan, dressed in khaki shorts and a loose button-up, steps onto the patio, waving enthusiastically.
"Sam! Over here! I’ve got everything ready,"
Samantha enters, her eyes widening at the decorations. She sets the daisies in a vase, her smile brightening.
"Ethan, this is adorable. Did you plan all of this just for our date?"
"Of course! I wanted tonight to be special,"
Ethan leads Samantha to the tank, grinning mischievously.
"Care to make things interesting? Winner gets to choose dessert,"
"You’re on, but don’t cry when you’re soaked,"
"You’ll have to do better than that, Sam!"
On her second try, the ball strikes the target. The mechanism clicks, and Ethan plunges into the chilly water, surfacing with a triumphant grin.
Samantha settles onto the seat, mock-nervous, while Ethan winds up.
"I believe in you, but not too much,"
Ethan’s first toss hits the target, sending Samantha splashing into the tank. Her laughter is infectious as she surfaces, hair slicked back and eyes sparkling.
"So, what’s for dessert, winner?"
"I vote for ice cream—after all, we’ve already been dunked once tonight,"
They clink their lemonade glasses, laughter mingling with the night as their date continues, the memory of the dunk tank making it truly unforgettable.
