Hunter sits cross-legged at his desk, brow furrowed in concentration, as he writes a letter on lined notebook paper. The words come slowly, his hand trembling with excitement and nerves. He carefully folds the letter, slips it into an envelope, and writes 'Harper' in neat letters across the front.
Hunter slides the envelope halfway into the magazine, tucking it between colorful pages. He tosses the magazine onto the floor, the sound muffled by the thick rug. For a moment, he stares at it, heart pounding, before turning away.
Peter[/@ch_2], energetic and curious, bounds in, trailed by Alexander, who is taller, quieter, with quick, sharp eyes.]
Peter scans the room and spots the magazine. With a grin, he snatches it up, flipping it open. As he does, the hidden envelope slips out and drifts to the floor. Alexander swoops down, grabbing the envelope before Hunter can react.
Alexander[/@ch_3]'s hand, while Hunter steps forward, trying to stay calm.]
"Hey, that's mine. Give it back,"
"What is it? Looks important,"
Alexander peels open the envelope, sliding the letter free and handing the empty envelope to Hunter, who drops it in frustration onto the floor.
Hunter[/@ch_1] lunges for the letter, but Alexander flicks it to Peter, who grins mischievously.]
"Let’s see what we have here!"
Peter unfolds the letter and begins to read aloud, his voice filled with mock drama. "Dear Harper, I think you’re amazing..."
"Whoa, Hunter, who wrote this?"
Hunter snatches the letter back, cheeks burning. "I did, okay? I wrote it. It’s for Harper."
Alexander[/@ch_3] grabs the letter from Hunter’s hand and reads in a theatrical voice.]
"Harper, your smile is the best part of my day. From your secret admirer—well, not so secret now!"
Peter claps Hunter on the back, grinning. "Man, you’ve got guts. Maybe she’ll love it."
The room fills with the warmth of friendship and the faint hope of young love, while the discarded envelope lies forgotten on the floor.
