Noah Jutila stood outside Margo Gru's door, his heart pounding with a mix of excitement and nerves. He took a deep breath, his hand hovering over the door, hesitating as he collected his thoughts. The hallway felt like a gateway to another world, one where he would be alone with his crush. Finally, he mustered the courage and knocked gently.
Margo Gru sat cross-legged on the floor, her room a cozy, inviting space filled with personal touches. She adjusted her glasses and smiled up at Noah as he entered, her eyes sparkling with warmth. The room was a reflection of her personality, filled with books and a pinboard covered with pictures. "Hey, you made it," she said, patting the spot next to her on the floor.
Noah sat down, trying to focus on the math textbook in front of him, but his thoughts kept drifting to Margo. Her proximity made it hard to concentrate, the warmth of her arm just inches away a constant distraction. "Can you explain this algebra problem again?" she asked, her voice pulling him back to reality. Noah nodded, his face flushing as he attempted to recall the steps.
Margo leaned closer, her elbow brushing against Noah's arm, sending a jolt of electricity through him. Noah felt his face heat up, desperately trying to keep his composure. "You okay?" she asked, her eyes studying him with a mix of amusement and concern. Noah stammered, trying to come up with an excuse, but his brain seemed to have short-circuited.
Margo's smirk widened as she watched Noah struggle to find his words. "Are you sure you’re not just flustered because we’re studying together?" she teased, nudging him lightly. Noah nearly choked, trying to deny it, but his red face betrayed him. Her laughter filled the room, light and melodic, easing the tension between them.
The moment was interrupted as Agnes burst into the room, her infectious energy filling the space. "Do you guys want stickers? They’re limited edition!" she exclaimed, holding out a handful of unicorn stickers. Margo rolled her eyes but couldn't suppress a smile. Agnes looked at Noah and giggled, "Wait… Noah, why is your face so red?" she asked, her innocent question breaking the ice completely. Noah groaned, burying his head in his hands as Margo burst into laughter once more.
