Alex dropped his backpack by the door, a grin spreading across his face. Jamie, already nestled in a sleeping bag, waved him over eagerly. "This is going to be the best sleepover ever," he declared, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
Ryan, the newest addition to the group, joined in with enthusiasm, his competitive spirit infectious. "You're going down, Alex!" Jamie teased, nudging him playfully. "We'll see about that," Alex shot back, determined to win.
"Can I tell you guys something?" Ryan asked hesitantly, his voice barely above a whisper. The others turned to him, curiosity piqued. "Of course, we're friends," Alex assured him, offering a reassuring smile.
Ryan took a deep breath, "I've been feeling different, and I think I might be...," he hesitated, "I think I might be gay." The room was quiet for a moment before Jamie responded warmly, "That's okay, Ryan. We're here for you no matter what."
"Thanks for trusting us," Alex said, resting a hand on Ryan's shoulder. "I was scared, but I'm glad I told you," Ryan admitted, relief washing over him. "We're like brothers now," Jamie declared, sealing their bond with a pact of friendship.
The night had been transformative, a testament to friendship and the courage to be true to oneself. As the sun rose, it promised new beginnings for Alex, Jamie, and Ryan, their bond stronger than ever.
