John Harris was crossing the street, his mind occupied with thoughts of his recent inheritance, when fate intervened. A car skidded into view, its brakes screaming in vain. John felt a jarring impact, and everything went black.
John awoke with a start, his head spinning. But something was amiss—he was now in the body of a woman in 16th-century England. "Where am I?" he whispered, touching a delicate bracelet encircling his wrist.
Thomas, a kind-hearted blacksmith, noticed the bewildered woman and offered her assistance. Over time, John and Thomas grew close, sharing stories by the fire and laughing under the stars. "I've never met anyone like you," Thomas admitted softly.
Agatha, the village witch, listened intently to John's plight. "I can send you back," she said, her eyes glinting with mystery. But the choice was his: return to riches or stay for love.
John wrestled with the decision, torn between the life he knew and the love he'd found. Ultimately, he chose to leave, whispering a heartfelt goodbye to Thomas. "I'll never forget you," he vowed.
Months later, John saved a young woman lying unconscious on the road. As he tended to her, realization dawned—it was Thomas, reincarnated. Their eyes met, and in that moment, time seemed to fold in on itself. "It's you," she breathed, tears of joy in her eyes.
