A timid boy named Sae stood in the doorway, clutching a box containing a delicate cake. His mother had entrusted him with a simple, yet vital task: deliver the cake to his ailing grandmother. "Remember, walk carefully and avoid any distractions," she reminded him with a gentle smile. Sae nodded, his heart racing with the anticipation of the journey ahead.

As Sae walked, he was suddenly halted by the appearance of Shidou, a handsome young man with tan skin and a fiery spirit. "Let's have a fight!" he exclaimed with an impish grin, his eyes sparkling with mischief. Sae, taken aback, shook his head vigorously. "No, thank you. I have a task to complete," he replied, trying to sidestep the confrontation.

Undeterred, Shidou continued to pester Sae, his persistence unwavering. In a moment of desperation, Sae took off one of his shoes and hurled it at Shidou before sprinting down the path. Shidou called after him, "Will we meet again?" to which Sae shouted back, "No, please don’t ever see me again!"

Shidou, intrigued by the boy who had dared to stand up to him, picked up the discarded shoe and set off in pursuit, using it as a clue to track Sae down. The shoe became his talisman, guiding him through the winding paths and dense thickets until he reached the quaint cottage where Sae was tending to his grandmother.

With great care, Shidou approached the house, taking off his shoes before entering. Inside, he found Sae and his grandmother, who lay resting on a bed adorned with a patchwork quilt. In an unexpected twist, Shidou performed three somersaults and, with a flourish, presented a dowry as he asked for Sae's hand in marriage. The grandmother, amused and charmed by the young man's antics, thought to herself, "This is the perfect match for my grandson."

Sae, surprised by the turn of events, found himself smiling. Though their meeting had been chaotic, there was something endearing about Shidou's determination. With his grandmother's blessing, Sae accepted the proposal, and thus began the whimsical journey of their life together. As the village settled into the calm of the evening, Sae and Shidou looked forward to their future, filled with unexpected adventures and shared laughter.
