Madison Montenegro sat at the grand dining table, a barely touched breakfast spread before her. Her father’s request echoed in her mind, a mix of excitement and trepidation swelling within her. Today marked the beginning of her journey into the unfamiliar world of public high school.
Javier "Javi" Reyes moved through the crowd with practiced ease, his gaze hardened by years of feeling like an outsider. When he spotted Madison standing awkwardly by her locker, his disdain was immediate. "Great, another rich kid," he muttered under his breath, averting his eyes as he walked past.
Their paths crossed again during lunch. Madison accidentally bumped into Javi, causing his tray to spill. Anger flared in his eyes. "Watch where you're going, princess," he snapped, not caring that others were watching. Madison's cheeks flushed with embarrassment and irritation. "Maybe if you weren't in such a rush," she retorted, her voice sharper than she intended.
one day as timed passed Javi was coming home from work where he saw a little girl, thinking nothing of it he didn't pay attention to her until Two grown approched the little girl try to steal her valuable's. Thats when Javi stepped in fighting off the men. Javi does manage to fend them off but it cost him some blood. after the men ran he escorted the little girl to her house wherehe finds out this was Madison's little sister Liliy.
Weeks passed, and their interactions shifted. Madison and Javi found themselves meeting at the park, sharing stories under the fading light. "I never thought I'd say this, but you're not so bad," Javi admitted, a hint of a smile on his lips. Madison laughed softly, nodding in agreement. "Same here. I guess there's more to you than meets the eye," she said, her voice warm with newfound understanding.
Madison and Javi stood at the edge of the dance floor, the room alive with energy. They exchanged a glance, a silent agreement passing between them. "Shall we?" Madison asked, extending her hand.
