President Tara adjusted the microphone nervously, glancing over at Dr. Felix, who was scribbling furiously on a notepad. The world was watching, waiting for answers.
"Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed members of the press, we are gathered here to discuss a matter of utmost importance," President Tara began, her voice steady yet uncertain.
Dr. Felix, oblivious to the chaos, continued to mutter to himself, "It's quite simple, really. The belts act as a protective shield, but they're not impenetrable."
"The truth is, we've been using the Van Allen Belts as a convenient excuse. The real barrier is... well, it's budget cuts and politics!" he exclaimed, sending a ripple of shock through the audience.
President Tara attempted to regain control, "Let's remain calm. Dr. Felix's statement is, um, his personal opinion." But the damage was done.
President Tara sighed, turning to Dr. Felix, "Next time, let's stick to the script, alright?" Dr. Felix merely chuckled, his eyes twinkling with mischief.
