Ava, clutching her ticket with excitement, stands at the threshold, eyes wide as she takes in the explosion of colors and sounds.
Max, her younger brother, bounces beside her, already pointing out the towering roller coaster that loops against the clear blue sky.
"Look at that, Max! We're finally here. I can't believe how big this place is,"
"Let's go on the rides! I want to do everything at least twice,"
Ava leads the way, her map unfolded, while Max's eyes dart from a spinning teacup ride to a haunted mansion draped in faux cobwebs.
"Let's plan our route. If we start with the Adventure Zone, we can hit the water rides before the lines get too long,"
"Only if we get ice cream after!"
Ava squeezes Max's hand as they inch forward, anticipation mixing with a flutter of nerves.
"Do you think it's scary? It looks really high from here,"
"We'll do it together. Besides, I heard the view from the top is amazing,"
Max laughs uncontrollably, recounting the moment they screamed in perfect unison.
"See? That wasn't so bad! I think we earned that ice cream now,"
"Best. Ride. Ever. Let's find the biggest cone they have!"
Ava pauses by a wishing well, tossing in a coin with a secret smile.
"What did you wish for?"
"That we can come back again next year,"
"Me too. Or maybe tomorrow,"
Ava wraps an arm around Max, both grinning as the final firework bursts overhead.
"Today was perfect. Let's never forget it,"
"Never. Next time, let's ride the roller coaster in the dark,"
