Little D woke up with a jolt, eyes wide with excitement. Today was the day for an adventure, and she could feel it in her bones. Pulling on her favorite yellow raincoat, Little D tiptoed past the sleeping cat and slipped out the door, clutching a well-worn map drawn in crayon.
Little D paused at the garden gate, peering through the slats into the wild world beyond. The air smelled of earth and adventure. With a deep breath, she whispered to herself, "Today, I will find the lost treasure of Maple Lane!"

Little D marched bravely into the woods, following the squiggly blue line on her map. Every snap of a twig made her heart race, but she pressed on, determined. Suddenly, a tiny voice called out from a nearby bush.
Nibbles the Squirrel, the self-proclaimed forest guide, introduced himself with a dramatic bow. "Lost, are we? Or searching for something shiny?" Little D grinned back, "I'm after the treasure! Will you help me?" "Follow me, then! But beware—the woods are full of riddles!"
Little D and Nibbles reach the bridge, where a weathered sign reads, "Solve the riddle to cross." "What walks on four legs in the morning, two at noon, and three in the evening?" Little D pondered, tapping her chin. "A person! Crawling as a baby, walking as a child, and with a cane when old." The bridge hummed and the path cleared.
With a gasp, Little D raced forward, brushing aside the leaves. The chest creaked open to reveal not gold, but a collection of shimmering marbles, a silver whistle, and a note: "To the bravest explorer—never stop seeking wonder." Nibbles chirped with delight, "Sometimes, the real treasure is the adventure itself!"
