Kuromi adjusted her sunglasses, excitement bubbling inside her as she glanced at Melody beside her. "I can't wait to feel the sand between my toes!" she exclaimed.
"And I can't wait to build the biggest sandcastle ever," replied Melody, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.
Kuromi and Melody spread out their colorful beach towels, the vibrant patterns standing out against the pale sand.
"Let's explore first!" suggested Kuromi, pointing towards a cluster of tide pools.
Melody, ever curious, tugged the parchment free and unfolded it. "Look, Kuromi! It's a map!" she exclaimed, eyes wide with wonder.
Kuromi leaned in, tracing the lines with her finger. "A treasure map, maybe?" she murmured, excitement building.
Kuromi and Melody giggled as they dodged waves and leapt over small dunes, the thrill of adventure coursing through them.
"I think the next clue is near that big rock over there!" said Melody, pointing ahead.
Kuromi frowned, uncertainty creeping in. "What if there's nothing here?" she asked, glancing at Melody.
"There's only one way to find out," replied Melody determinedly, starting to dig with her hands.
Melody gasped as she uncovered the chest, while Kuromi watched in awe. Together, they pried it open to reveal a collection of seashells, each more beautiful than the last.
"It's not gold, but it's a treasure nonetheless," smiled Kuromi, holding up a shimmering shell.
"A treasure of memories," agreed Melody, her heart full.
