Ella stepped out of the woods, her breath catching at the sight before her. The stone pillars, taller than any tree she’d seen, glowed softly as if lit from within, their surfaces carved with runes that pulsed in rhythm with the haunting music. Birds circled overhead, their calls blending with the mysterious songs echoing from the stones.
Ella moved closer, sensing the vibrations in her fingertips as she reached out to trace the carvings. With every touch, the melody shifted, as though the stones responded to her presence. She whispered, "Is someone there? Can you hear me?" The hum deepened, and the archway shimmered, revealing a hidden path winding between the pillars.
As Ella stepped into the circle, the air grew warmer and the songs transformed into words she could almost understand. Suddenly, a tiny stone figure emerged from behind a pillar—a guardian, no taller than Ella’s knee, with a face like weathered granite and eyes that sparkled like stars. Liro, the Stone Guardian: Keeper of the stones, ancient and wise, voice deep and resonant.
"Welcome, traveler. You have entered the Land of Singing Stone, where every melody holds a memory, and every step weaves a story," intoned the guardian, his voice echoing through the valley.
Ella looked to Liro, worry creasing her brow. "The harmony is breaking," he warned, gesturing toward a shattered stone at the circle’s edge. "What can I do to help? I don’t know your songs," she replied, her voice trembling. "You must listen with your heart. Only then can you restore the melody," urged Liro.
As Ella sings, the stones respond, their cracks healing and their songs growing stronger. The storm’s darkness lifts, revealing a brilliant rainbow arching over the valley. Liro bows, his eyes gleaming. "You have mended what was broken. The land sings again because of you,"
Ella turned to Liro, gratitude shining in her eyes. "Thank you for trusting me," she said. "Remember, the songs of the land are forever in your heart. Return when you wish, and the stones will welcome you," replied Liro. With one last look at the singing stones, Ella stepped back into the woods, the melodies echoing in her soul.
