Supergirl soared through the sky, her cape fluttering behind her like a beacon of hope. Her super-hearing had picked up the distress call from the plane, and she zoomed toward it, eyes locking onto the sputtering engines.
"Hang on, everyone," she murmured as she matched the plane's speed and gently guided it toward a safe descent. Suddenly, a familiar red and blue figure appeared on a nearby rooftop.
Spider-Man, having just finished a quick patrol, was about to indulge in a long-awaited cheeseburger. His Spider-Sense tingled as he watched the unfolding drama. "Looks like dinner will have to wait," he quipped, shooting a web to catch a ride on the plane's wing.
Supergirl and Spider-Man surveyed the scene, quickly spotting the damage. "There's something more to this," she said, her eyes narrowing at the engine that had failed to explode.
"Yeah, that wasn't just a mechanical issue," Spider-Man agreed, pointing to the remnants of what appeared to be a bomb. "Let's trace this back. We need to know where the plane came from," Supergirl decided, heading toward the control tower.
Batman was already analyzing data on his computer, the flickering screens illuminating his furrowed brow. "I suspected Joker's involvement," he said without looking up. "Your instincts were right. We've got evidence," Supergirl replied, handing him a fragment of the device.
"Let's put an end to this madness. We can't let the Joker's followers pit our cities against each other," Batman declared, his voice a steely resolve.
The trio burst through the door, confronting a group of the Joker's clownish henchmen. Spider-Man swung into action, his webs snaring the nearest thug. Supergirl took to the air, disarming and disorienting foes with swift precision.
Batman, a shadow among shadows, moved with lethal grace. One clown aimed a weapon at Spider-Man, but a Batarang flew true, knocking the gun from his hand. Supergirl followed up with a knockout punch, securing their victory.
Batman nodded to Supergirl and Spider-Man. "Gotham owes you both," he said, a rare smile gracing his features. "Just doing our part," Spider-Man replied, a playful grin on his face.
"Ready to head back to New York?" Supergirl asked, offering him a lift. "I guess flying's not so bad when you trust who's in the pilot's seat," Spider-Man chuckled, as they took to the skies once more.
