Peter Quill strolled through the park, enjoying the warm sun on his face. His attention was drawn to a scene unfolding near a bench. Two hulking boys were towering over a small boy, Timmy, who clutched an old Walkman like a lifeline. "Hey, what's going on here?" Peter called out, his voice firm yet casual.
The bullies turned, their mocking laughter faltering upon recognizing the legendary Star-Lord. Timmy's eyes widened in disbelief and relief as Peter approached. "It's okay to love the classics," Peter said with a mischievous grin, "I do too."
Peter pulled out his own Walkman, a relic from his past, much like Timmy's. "You see," Peter continued, "there's something special about listening to music on one of these. It's not just about the sound; it's about the experience."
The bullies exchanged glances, their confidence waning. Timmy looked up at Peter with newfound respect, feeling validated and understood. "Thanks, Star-Lord," he said quietly, a smile beginning to form.
Peter gestured toward the Milano, which had just landed gracefully. "Wanna meet some of my friends?" he asked Timmy, who nodded vigorously, still in awe of the unfolding adventure.
As they approached the ship, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot emerged. Drax clenched his fists, glancing at the bullies with a hint of menace. "Let's show these punks what real friends do," he declared.
Peter turned up the music, transforming the ship into a vibrant dance floor. Gamora gracefully swayed to the beat, while Rocket and Groot joined in with their own unique moves. Timmy laughed, caught up in the joyful energy.
"See, Timmy?" Peter said, his voice carrying over the music. "It's not about what's in your pocket, but who's by your side." Timmy nodded, feeling a warmth of belonging he had never known before.
Peter led Timmy off the ship as the celebration wound down. "Remember," he said, "you've got friends who appreciate you, no matter what."
As the Milano lifted off, the bullies looked on, their earlier arrogance replaced by a quiet acknowledgment of their own folly. Peter shot them a cheeky grin, sealing the lesson with a wink.
