Lucio, a strikingly handsome yet gaunt teenager of eighteen, stands atop a crumbling rooftop. His eyes, faintly aglow with an unnatural energy, scan the city below. In the distant thunder, his thoughts echo the fallen city's sorrow.
"They say this city used to be a paradise… but that was before the war."
Lucio[/@ch_1]'s face as he remains motionless. The wind howls, carrying the distant wails and sirens from the streets below. On the edge of the roof, his silhouette is stark against the storm-lit sky, tension in every muscle.]
"Now it’s a graveyard for the weak… and a test for the strong."
A flash of memory seizes him—blood-slicked hands, bodies sprawled at his feet, his breath ragged in the aftermath of violence. The city had demanded a price, and Lucio had paid it in kind.
"I didn’t choose this power. It chose me… the moment I killed my 50th enemy."
Unnamed Girl, her clothes torn and hope fading, risks a final cry.
"Help! Somebody—!"
Suddenly, with a thunderous impact, Lucio drops from above, landing between the predators and their prey. The ground cracks, dust swirling around him as the gang skids to a halt.
Gang Leader: "Who the hell is this guy?!"
Lucio[/@ch_1] straightens, the glow in his eyes intensifying as he locks gazes with the gang. For a heartbeat, only the pounding rain and the click of a metal pipe break the silence.]
"I’m your last mistake."
In a blur, Lucio surges forward. His fist drives into the gang leader’s gut, sending him crashing into the far wall with a bone-jarring boom.
Lucio[/@ch_1] ducks, pivots, and drives his elbow into the attacker’s face—a sickening crack resounds. Another tries to flee, but Lucio lifts his hand, and a coil of black energy lashes out, ensnaring the thug’s leg.]
"With every fight… I feel it. My power growing."
The thug cries out, yanked off his feet as darkness pulses from Lucio's palm.
"You started this. I’ll finish it."
Lucio[/@ch_1]'s feet. The girl stares up at her unlikely savior, awe and fear mingling in her gaze as neon reflections dance in the puddles.]
"W-Who are you?"
"…Just a guy trying to survive. One kill at a time."
The city of Pirates breathes, restless and waiting, as Lucio melts into the shadows—his war far from over.
