Garrison bounced excitedly in his chair, his eyes sparkling with anticipation. Papa chuckled as he flipped a pancake, while Gram packed a basket with sandwiches and lemonade. "I can't wait to build the biggest sandcastle ever!"
Papa parked the golf cart, and Garrison dashed out, his feet sinking into the hot sand. Gram followed, carrying the picnic basket. "Let's find a good spot near the water," Papa suggested, shading his eyes from the sun.
Garrison scooped wet sand, his focus intense. Gram added finishing touches, placing a shell on top of a turret. "This is going to be the best one yet," Garrison declared, beaming with pride.
Garrison tugged at the paper, revealing a faded treasure map. "Well, what have you found there?" Gram asked with a twinkle in her eye. "A treasure map!" Garrison exclaimed, eyes wide with excitement.
Papa studied the map, his brow furrowed in concentration. "It says we need to find the tallest palm tree," Papa said, pointing ahead. Garrison ran forward, his laughter mingling with the sea breeze.
"Let's see what's inside," Gram encouraged, her hands brushing away sand. Garrison opened the chest to reveal an assortment of colorful seashells and a note. "'To the adventurers of the sea, may you always find joy in the journey,'" Garrison read aloud, his face alight with wonder.
