Sayuli skipped along the path, her heart light with excitement. Her golden hair danced in the breeze, and her eyes sparkled with dreams of strawberries. Ever since she had heard the tales of a hidden strawberry patch that granted wishes, she had been unable to think of anything else.
"I wonder if the stories are true," she mused aloud, her voice filled with hope and wonder.
Sayuli followed the path with determination, her senses alive to every rustle and whisper of the woods. Her heart leapt as she spotted a clearing ahead, where the sunlight seemed to pool in a golden halo.
"Could it be?" she whispered, stepping into the clearing.
As Sayuli reached for a berry, a shadow fell across her. She turned to find Milo, a boy with tousled dark hair and eyes as deep as the sea, watching her with a curious smile.
"You're not the only one drawn to these berries," he said, stepping into the light.
"Are the stories true?" Sayuli asked, her voice barely a whisper.
Milo nodded, his expression serious. "Yes, but the wishes come with a test. Only those with pure intentions will see their dreams come true."
Sayuli felt a flutter of excitement mixed with apprehension. "What kind of test?" she asked, her curiosity burning brighter than ever.
Milo shared tales of those who had come before, their adventures and the lessons they learned. His stories were filled with wonder and wisdom, and Sayuli listened with rapt attention.
"The test is different for everyone," he explained. "But it always reveals the truth within."
Sayuli picked a single strawberry, its surface glistening in the fading light. She closed her eyes, her heart full of hope and sincerity, and made her wish.
Milo watched her, a knowing smile on his lips. "Trust in your heart, and the magic will find you," he said softly.
As the first star appeared in the twilight sky, Sayuli felt a warmth spread through her, a gentle assurance that her wish had been heard. Together, they walked back through the forest, the path illuminated by the glow of newfound friendship and the promise of adventures to come.
