Luca brushed the dust off an ancient trunk with a flourish, his eyes wide with excitement. Sofia and Marco watched eagerly as he lifted the creaky lid. Inside lay a rolled, yellowed piece of paper. "It's a treasure map!" exclaimed Luca, his voice tinged with awe.
Sofia leaned closer, her finger tracing over the mysterious symbols and the prominent red 'X'. "We have to find this treasure," she declared, her determination infectious.
Marco stuffed a map into his backpack, a grin spreading across his face. "Don't forget the water bottles!" he reminded, as Luca snatched a cap off the table, placing it on his head with a jaunty tilt.
Sofia secured her hat, a look of fierce adventure in her eyes. "Let's go find our first clue," she said, and together, they marched out the door, ready for the journey.
Luca pointed to the peculiar markings on the tree bark. "Look, the wave, the flower, and the star. Just like on the map," he said, his voice filled with wonder.
Marco crouched down, examining the symbols. "These are definitely clues. We have to follow them," he added, brimming with confidence.
Sofia clapped her hands in delight. "This is the place! We need to cross," she urged, her excitement bubbling over.
Luca took the lead, carefully stepping onto the bridge, his friends following close behind. With laughter and a little trepidation, they made it to the other side.
