Eric stared at the clock, willing the minute hand to move faster. The teacher’s voice blended into the background hum, barely audible over the tapping of pencils and the occasional cough. Everything felt achingly normal—until, without warning, the room began to warp and distort before his eyes.
Eric blinked, his heart racing. His legs dangled off a chair whose seat now towered above him. The room had become an alien landscape, every object gigantic and intimidating. Panic surged as he realized he was no bigger than a pencil stub.
Eric dodged a descending sneaker, breath coming in short gasps. "Someone, please notice me!" he shouted, his voice lost in the cavernous room. He sprinted toward the door, each step demanding all his strength, dodging debris that had become insurmountable barriers.
