Maks stood at the edge of the cliff, peering through his binoculars at the lighthouse. Beside him, Bash adjusted his cap, trying to keep it from flying away in the wind. Their faithful dog, Roxy, wagged her tail excitedly, sensing an adventure ahead.
"Are you sure about this, Bash?" Maks asked, lowering the binoculars.
"Absolutely. They've been talking about that treasure for ages. It's time someone found it," Bash replied with a grin.
Maks rolled out an old map on the wooden floor, tracing a route with his finger.
Roxy sniffed at the edges, her nose twitching with curiosity.
"We've got everything we need. Flashlights, rope, snacks for us and Roxy," Bash said, checking off items on a list.
"And don't forget the camera. We need to document our discovery," Maks added, looking excited.
Maks and Bash walked briskly, their boots crunching on the gravel.
Roxy bounded ahead, occasionally stopping to look back at them, her eyes bright with anticipation.
"I can feel it, Maks. We're getting close," Bash said, his voice filled with determination.
"I hope so. Imagine what we might find," Maks replied, smiling.
Bash brushed away the ivy, revealing an old, rusted lock.
Roxy sniffed around, her nose to the ground.
"Let's try the key we found in grandpa's attic," Maks suggested, pulling out a brass key.
"Here goes nothing," Bash said, inserting the key and turning it with a click.
Maks and Bash explored cautiously, their footsteps echoing in the silence.
Roxy padded beside them, her ears perked.
"Look at this! Old charts and journals," Maks exclaimed, picking up a dusty book.
"And here, a chest! Could this be it?" Bash wondered, kneeling beside a wooden crate.
Bash held up a golden coin, its surface glinting in the light.
Roxy barked happily, sensing their excitement.
"We did it, Bash! This is amazing," Maks said, beaming with pride.
"And this is just the beginning. Who knows what other secrets this town holds," Bash replied, his eyes gleaming with adventure.
