Harper walks hand in hand with Hunter, her laughter echoing softly as they take in the breathtaking view. The valley below is a patchwork of green and gold, and birds wheel lazily overhead. Their backpacks rest against a boulder, a reminder of their long hike together.
Harper's eyes widen in terror as her footing gives way. She gasps, arms flailing, as she slips toward the edge. Hunter lunges, his hand shooting out desperately to catch hers.
"Hold on, Harper! I've got you—I'm not letting go!"
"Hunter, I'm slipping! Please, don't let me fall!"
The ground vibrates beneath the Hulk's immense weight. Wind whips around them, scattering pebbles and leaves. The Hulk's enormous hand engulfs Harper's, his grip unbreakable.
"Hunter...? Is that you?"
The Hulk's eyes soften for a moment, a glimmer of recognition passing between them. He turns, his massive form casting a long shadow, and with a final, mournful glance, he bounds away into the trees.
The sun dips lower, casting warm hues over the mountain. Harper hugs herself, whispering a promise to find Hunter, no matter what form he takes.
