Fatima and Saeed had always cherished the early mornings at the falconry camp. The world seemed to hold its breath, waiting for the day's adventures to unfold. Their hearts raced with excitement as they approached Howl's cage, ready for another day of training. But as Saeed unlocked the cage, his voice trembled with disbelief. "Howl is gone!" he exclaimed.
Fatima's eyes widened, and without a moment's hesitation, they embarked on a quest to find their beloved falcon. "We need to find him now before he gets hurt—or someone else finds him first!" she urged.
The siblings weaved through the souk, their minds set on finding any clue about Howl. They approached a vendor adorned in vibrant shawls, his eyes crinkling with curiosity as they asked about the falcon. "Have you seen a falcon flying around here?" Saeed inquired.
The vendor stroked his beard thoughtfully. "I saw a falcon flying low over the dhow boats near the shore. He was chasing something—maybe a crow or a fish," he mused, adding a hint of mystery. "Or perhaps something unknown, like a peafowl from the nearby gardens."
Fatima and Saeed sprinted to the shore, their hearts pounding in unison with the rhythm of the sea. The cries of Howl reached them, and relief washed over Fatima as she recognized the distinctive sound. "That's Howl!" she shouted, pointing toward a larger dhow boat.
Saeed moved cautiously, spotting Howl tangled in a fishing net, his feathers ruffled in distress. "Don’t worry, Howl, we’ve got you now," he whispered soothingly, carefully untangling their prized falcon.
With Howl safely in their care, Fatima and Saeed exchanged smiles of triumph. "He must have been chasing a crow or maybe a cow grazing nearby and got stuck," Fatima mused with a chuckle.
Saeed nodded, a promise in his eyes. "Let’s keep his cage properly locked from now on," he vowed.
"And maybe train him to slow down! Anyhow, I’m just glad we found him," Fatima added with a laugh, their bond stronger than ever as they prepared for the upcoming championship.
