Ella squinted, her heart racing with excitement as she spotted the glow. She leaned closer, reaching out to touch the shimmering rock. "Finn, come quickly! There's something here!"
Finn, a tall and lanky teenager with a perpetual look of skepticism, approached cautiously. "Are you sure it's not just reflecting the moonlight, Ella?" Ella shook her head, her eyes wide with wonder. "No, it's something else. Something... magical."
Ella pored over the text, her finger tracing the lines of an old tale. "It says here that the rock belonged to a legendary guardian of the sea, responsible for keeping balance between the ocean and the land," she explained. Finn leaned over her shoulder, intrigued despite himself. "So, what happens if someone else finds it?"
"We need to protect it and find out how to use its magic before someone with bad intentions does," Ella declared, determination in her voice. "And you're sure this isn't just some wild goose chase?" Finn asked, though his eyes betrayed a flicker of excitement.
Ella led the way, flashlight beam slicing through the darkness. "This is it. We have to be careful," she whispered. Finn nodded, his earlier doubts replaced with a sense of camaraderie. "Let's do this," he replied, gripping the map tightly.
Suddenly, a shadowy figure emerged from the darkness, eyes gleaming with malice. Ella gasped, stepping back instinctively. "Who are you?" she demanded. The figure chuckled, the sound echoing ominously. Finn stepped forward, determination etched on his face. "We won't let you take it," he declared, ready to protect the magic rock at all costs.
