Erik, Joel, and Jason converged in front of the arrivals board, their faces breaking into wide smiles as they embraced.
"Can't believe we're finally doing this, guys," Erik chuckled, his red hair catching the light.
Joel gazed out of the window, his thoughts drifting back to their childhood days by the lake.
"Remember the time we tried to build that raft and it sank immediately?" Joel laughed, nudging Jason.
The rain pattered against the rental car's windshield as Jason navigated the winding roads.
"Storm or not, nothing's stopping our adventure," he declared, his eyes set on the road ahead.
Erik marveled at the lush greenery, his senses overwhelmed by the vibrant life surrounding them.
"This is nothing like the football field back home," he mused aloud, his eyes wide with wonder.
Joel raised his glass, a nostalgic smile playing on his lips.
"To the three amigos," he toasted, his voice warm with affection.
Jason watched the sunrise, his heart full of gratitude for the moments shared.
"We might live miles apart, but some things never change," he said softly, capturing the essence of their enduring friendship.
