Isli clung to his mother's hand, his small feet barely keeping up with the excitement thrumming through his veins. Mother's braid swung gently as she guided him to their carriage, where Bald Father was already settling into a plush seat, a newspaper in hand. "Look, Mom, the train is so big!" Isli exclaimed, his eyes wide with wonder.
Grandparents were already engrossed in a game of cards, their faces alight with concentration and friendly banter. Jake, a teenage cousin with a mischievous grin, nudged Lily, who was busy scrolling through her phone. Blonde Cousin bounced on the seat, her enthusiasm as contagious as Isli's. "Where do you think we'll stop first?" Lily asked, glancing up.
"It's always the same route, but there's something magical about it every time," Bald Father mused aloud, lowering his newspaper to smile at Isli. "I can't wait to see the mountains," Isli replied, leaning close to the window, his breath fogging up the glass as he watched the scenery change.
"Hello, young ones," she greeted, her eyes twinkling as she settled across from Grandparents. "Lovely day for a journey, isn't it?" Grandparents replied, intrigued. "Indeed. I hear the mountains are especially majestic this time of year," she added, sharing a knowing glance with Isli.
"Do you think we'll see any of those magical creatures?" Isli asked, his imagination ignited. "Perhaps if you look closely," she winked, her words laced with mystery. The stories wove a tapestry of anticipation, leaving everyone in the carriage enthralled and eager for what awaited them.
Mother wrapped an arm around Isli, pointing out landmarks and telling stories of her own childhood adventures in these mountains. "We'll be there soon, and then the real adventure begins," she promised, her voice filled with warmth and excitement. With hearts full of anticipation, the family gazed out at the breathtaking beauty, each member lost in thoughts of the mysteries and wonders that lay ahead.
