Lucas, a 12-year-old boy with tousled hair and a backpack slung over one shoulder, skids to a halt at the empty bus stop, his heart sinking as the yellow school bus vanishes down the road. "Great, just great," he mutters, setting off on foot towards school.
The two criminals, their faces obscured by hoods, approach with menacing smiles. Lucas's heart pounds in his chest as they close in. "Hand over your valuables, kid," one snarls, reaching out with a gloved hand.
"I think it's time for you to leave," Spider-Woman announces, her voice firm yet calm. With a flick of her wrist, she ensnares the criminals in a web net, leaving them struggling. Lucas watches in awe, unable to believe his eyes.
"Need a lift to school?" she asks, gesturing for Lucas to climb on. Hesitant at first, he nods and scrambles onto her back. With a burst of energy, Spider-Woman shoots webs at nearby buildings, swinging through the bustling streets of New York City.
Lucas thanks her breathlessly, his face flushed with excitement. Spider-Woman nods, then leaps back into action, disappearing among the skyscrapers. Lucas rushes inside, eager to share his unbelievable morning with his friends.
Lucas feels deflated until Gwen Stacy, a quiet girl with a knowing smile, approaches him. "So, you met her, huh?" she says, her eyes twinkling. They chat about Spider-Woman, forming a secret bond over the shared wonder.
Once out of sight, Gwen dons her Spider-Woman costume, her silhouette blending into the city's shadows as she resumes her vigilant watch over New York. Lucas smiles to himself, a newfound mystery to ponder as he heads home.
