Banana peered through a cracked window, his yellow skin trembling as he watched the swarm of people fighting for supplies.
Grape stood beside him, small but determined, his purple hue barely visible in the dim light.
"We need water, and fast. Pear can't hold out forever in here."
"Let's stick together and move quick. If we’re careful, maybe we won’t get noticed."
Pear watches as his friends prepare to leave, worry etched on his green face.
"Just... come back safe. I'll keep the cave locked up tight."
"We'll be back before you know it, Pear."
"Stay hidden, buddy."
With a final nod, Banana and Grape slip out into the chaotic street.
Each step is tense, with Banana scanning for threats and Grape staying close. They pause behind a toppled shelf as a group rushes past, breathing hard.
"Almost there, but these crowds are everywhere. We have to be smart."
"I’ll watch your back. Let’s keep going."
Banana spots a clear path and signals to Grape. Just as they reach the shelf, someone turns and catches sight of them, their arm swinging out in a wild attempt to grab.
"Look out, Banana!"
Banana's face twists in fear as he’s nearly caught, but Grape’s quick thinking saves him.
"That was way too close! Let’s get out of here!"
"Run, Banana! Back to Pear!"
The two dash out of the store, weaving through the chaos, clutching their prize.
Pear embraces his friends, relief flooding his face.
"I was so worried! You made it, and you got the water!"
"Thanks to Grape’s quick moves, we’re all still here."
With the water secured, the trio settle into their shelter, grateful for each other and the small victories that keep them going.
