Chakor the bird flitted among the vines, its keen eyes searching for the sweetest grapes. Rajendra, the wise king of the land, had entrusted the care of his vineyard to a diligent gardener. However, the gardener had noticed a peculiar visitor over the past few days.
"This bird seems to have a taste for only the finest grapes," the gardener muttered to himself as he watched Chakor pluck the choicest fruits, leaving the sour ones scattered on the ground.
Despite his best efforts to chase Chakor away, the bird continued its daily visits, undeterred by the gardener's presence. With each passing day, the gardener's frustration grew, until he decided to seek the counsel of Rajendra.
"Your Majesty, a clever bird is stealing the best grapes. I cannot seem to deter it," the gardener confessed, hoping for guidance.
Rajendra listened intently and, with a thoughtful nod, promised to deal with the matter himself.
As expected, Chakor appeared, its wings glinting in the morning light. With swift precision, Rajendra captured the bird, holding it gently yet firmly in his hands.
"Release me, O King, and I shall share with you four valuable lessons," Chakor chirped, its voice surprisingly articulate.
"First, never let an enemy escape once in your grasp. Second, do not believe the impossible. Third, do not regret what has passed," Chakor recited, pausing before continuing.
"Now, loosen your hold, and I shall tell you the fourth," the bird coaxed.
Curious, Rajendra relaxed his grip, and in a flash, Chakor soared free, settling on a nearby branch.
"The fourth lesson is that merely hearing good advice is useless unless acted upon," Chakor called down, its voice carrying wisdom beyond its size.
Rajendra realized the truth in the bird's words. He had been outwitted by his own curiosity and trust. The lessons were not just to be heard but to be lived.
Determined to embody the wisdom he had learned, Rajendra vowed to rule with a blend of insight and action. The lessons from Chakor would guide him, ensuring his kingdom thrived under both his care and his newfound understanding.
