Roxanne sat by the shimmering banks of the River Cerulean, cradling her plush unicorn, Lilly. The river, usually a cascade of brilliant blue, now seemed muted, prompting a worried frown. She dipped her fingers into the water, but they emerged without the usual vivid streaks. "What's going on?" she murmured to Lilly, her voice tinged with concern.
Jax appeared beside her, his crayon-nub hair wiggling with excitement. "Hey, Roxy! Guess what I've got?" he exclaimed, holding up a half-chewed green pencil. Roxanne eyed it with a mix of curiosity and caution. "Technically, this was someone's art supply," she remarked. Jax shrugged, unbothered. "Green is sour. I like sour."
"Have you noticed anything… unusual lately?" Roxanne asked, glancing at the troll. Jax pondered, scratching his wooden chin. "Now that you mention it, my last meal did taste a little less colorful." Roxanne sighed, the weight of her concerns growing heavier. "I don't think it's just your snacks, Jax. Something is happening in Crayonville."
Jax tilted his head, his expression both confused and curious. "You always feel things, Roxy. Is it nothing?" Roxanne shook her head, her gut telling her otherwise. "I can feel it in my bones," she replied softly, her gaze drifting over the vibrant scene around them.
Roxanne looked towards the lively streets, the sound of laughter echoing in the air. Everything seemed fine, yet she couldn't shake the feeling that the vibrant colors might not hold forever. "We need to find out what's happening," Roxanne declared, determination in her voice. Jax nodded, ready to assist in any way he could.
The duo stood united, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. As the stars twinkled above, Roxanne knew that uncovering the mystery would require courage and wit. Together, they would protect the crayon-colored world they cherished.
