Romit, a curious and lively ten-year-old, steps out of the car, his eyes wide with excitement. His younger brother, Ronak, just seven, bounces beside him, holding onto a plush toy. Murad and Shakila, their smiling parents, unpack the car, their laughter echoing softly in the crisp morning air.
Ronak skips ahead, his little feet crunching on fallen leaves, while Romit follows, searching for interesting rocks and insects. Shakila points out a cluster of wild berries, and Murad helps the boys gather them into a small basket. "Look, Ronak! This beetle has shiny blue wings," Romit exclaims, his voice full of wonder.
The brothers dash off to climb the boulder, racing each other and giggling loudly. "Bet you can't catch me, Romit!" Ronak calls as he scrambles up. Romit grins and gives chase, his laughter mingling with the soft rustling of the grass.
Shakila pours lemonade into cups as Murad tells a funny story, making everyone chuckle. "Dad, can you tell the one about the monkey and the hat again?" Ronak asks eagerly. "Only if Romit promises not to steal my hat like last time!" Murad replies, winking at his older son.
Romit and Ronak roast marshmallows while Murad strums a guitar softly. Shakila hums along, her voice blending with the night sounds. "This is the best vacation ever," Romit says, his eyes sparkling in the firelight.
"I hope we can come back here every year," Shakila whispers, pulling her sons close. Ronak yawns and rests his head on her shoulder, while Murad wraps an arm around them all. Their hearts are full, their laughter lingering in the gentle night breeze.
