Liam sat on the soft carpet, his toys scattered around him, though his focus was on the crib that stood empty and waiting. "When will my baby brother be here?" he asked, his voice a mix of impatience and excitement. His mother, Emily, gently ruffled his hair. "Very soon, sweetheart," she assured him, her eyes glowing with warmth.
Liam clutched his father’s hand as they entered the room. His eyes widened at the sight of the tiny bundle in his mother's arms. Emily smiled, beckoning him over. John, Liam's father, lifted him gently so he could see his brother better. "He's so small," Liam whispered with awe, his small fingers reaching out to touch the baby's tiny hand.
Liam was full of questions, each one more curious than the last. "Can he play with my toys? Does he like dinosaurs?" he asked, his brow furrowed in thought. Emily chuckled softly, "Not yet, but soon you can teach him all about them," she replied, her eyes twinkling at the prospect of their future adventures.
Liam leaned closer, his face inches from his brother's. As the baby blinked up at him, Liam made a funny face, sticking out his tongue and crossing his eyes. To his delight, the baby gurgled a response, tiny fingers curling around Liam's. "I think he likes me," Liam declared with a triumphant grin, feeling the bond of sibling love beginning to form.
Liam lay tucked in his bed, his mind swirling with dreams of the adventures he would have with his baby brother. He imagined them exploring jungles, hunting for treasure, and building the tallest towers. "We'll do everything together," he murmured sleepily, his eyes closing as he drifted into a peaceful sleep.
Liam tiptoed into the nursery, his heart full of excitement for the days to come. He peered into the crib where his baby brother slept soundly. "Good morning, little brother," he whispered, feeling the promise of a new adventure in the air, and knowing that together, they would transform their world into a playground of endless possibilities.
