Aarohi bounced on the couch, her eyes sparkling with anticipation for her fifth birthday. The room was a whirlwind of pink and blue, adorned with balloons and streamers. Her mother, Pramita, was bustling around, ensuring everything was perfect for the celebration.
"Mama, do you think Papa will call soon?"
Pramita paused, her smile reassuring. "Absolutely, sweetie. He wouldn't miss this for the world."
Uncle Nierrbhayy and Aunt Smriti arrived with little Shaarwin, who toddled excitedly towards Aarohi.
"Look, Shaarwin! I'm Elsa today!" Aarohi twirled in her shimmering costume, her cousin clapping gleefully.
As the cake-cutting moment approached, Pramita gathered everyone for a video call with Ashish, Aarohi's father.
"Happy Birthday, my star!" Ashish beamed from the screen, his voice carrying love across the miles.
Aarohi focused on her wish, the world around her momentarily fading. "I wish to be with Papa," she whispered, her heart full of longing.
In an instant, a tingling sensation filled the air, and when she opened her eyes, she was standing in San Francisco, next to a stunned Ashish.
"How... how did you get here, Aarohi?" he stammered, embracing her warmly.
Pramita couldn't contain her joy as Aarohi and Ashish appeared back home. Family members gathered around, their hearts full.
"Aarohi, you've discovered your superpower!" Pramita exclaimed, her eyes shining with pride.
"I can go anywhere I want, Mama!" Aarohi giggled, holding Ashish's hand tightly.
Shaarwin looked up at Aarohi with wide eyes, his small fingers clutching hers.
"Let's go somewhere fun, Shaarwin!" Aarohi whispered, and with a wave of magic, they found themselves at Disneyland, surrounded by the vibrant colors and joyful sounds of the theme park.
"Wow! So many lights!" Shaarwin squealed, his previous longing for powers forgotten in the thrill of the moment.
Back home, as Aarohi and Shaarwin drifted into slumber, a faint luminescence began to emanate from Shaarwin, casting gentle shadows on the walls.
Aarohi awoke briefly, a sleepy smile spreading across her face as she watched the glow.
"Tomorrow will be full of surprises," she thought, closing her eyes again, dreaming of the adventures yet to come.
