Ada sat at her cluttered desk, her forehead resting in her hands. The room was silent except for the occasional rustle of pages as she flipped through her math textbook. "If only these problems could solve themselves," she sighed, tapping her pencil against the paper. The thought of babysitting Liam, Maya, and Zoe next door was far more appealing than the equations before her.
Ada glanced outside, her concentration slipping away like sand through her fingers. Liam's high-pitched giggle was unmistakable, followed by Maya's soft voice, "Catch me if you can!" The temptation to abandon her homework grew stronger with each passing moment.
Ada took a deep breath, resolute to finish her task. She sharpened her pencil, the crisp sound echoing in the quiet room. "Focus, and you'll be done in no time," she whispered to herself, her determination renewed. With a newfound sense of purpose, she tackled the math problems one by one.
Ada stretched her arms above her head, a satisfied smile playing on her lips. She had conquered the math problems at last. "Finally!" she exclaimed, pushing her chair back and standing up. The prospect of spending time with the kids next door filled her with excitement.
Ada was greeted with cheers as Liam, Maya, and Zoe rushed towards her, their faces glowing with joy. "Ada, Ada!" Zoe called out, tugging at her hand. "Ready for some fun?" Ada laughed, her heart light and free.
Ada joined in the games, her earlier frustrations forgotten. She chased after Liam and Maya, their gleeful squeals echoing in the night air. As they collapsed onto the grass, breathless and happy, "Thanks, Ada, for playing with us," Maya said, her eyes sparkling. "Anytime," Ada replied, her heart full.
