Tristan hurriedly laced up his sneakers, the excitement of the last day of school buzzing in his veins. Tristan's mom was already at the door, her keys jangling in hand.
"Come on, Tristan, we don't want to be late on the last day of school," she called out, glancing at her wristwatch.
Princess Peachy, a spirited dachshund with a coat as golden as sunshine, wagged her tail eagerly. "Ready to walk with us, Peachy?"
Princess Peachy trotted beside Tristan, her ears perked up with interest at every squirrel that crossed their path. Tristan's mom chatted about summer plans, her voice mingling with the rhythmic crunch of gravel underfoot.
"I can't wait for the summer break. We should take Peachy to the beach," Tristan suggested, his eyes lighting up with the thought of adventure.
As they approached the school gates, Peachy barked happily, sensing the energy around them. Tristan's mom ruffled Peachy's ears affectionately.
"Alright, Tristan, have a great last day! Peachy and I will be waiting to hear all about it later," she said with a smile.
Tristan waved goodbye, his backpack bouncing as he joined his friends.
"Good morning, class! Today, let's celebrate all that we've learned this year," Ms. Harper announced, clapping her hands together.
Tristan felt a sense of pride as he remembered the projects he had completed and the friends he had made. "Let's make this day memorable," she added, her enthusiasm infectious.
