Ahmed dashed across the field, his shirt stained with the dust of many adventures. His friends gathered around, their faces flushed with excitement as they kicked the ball back and forth. Ahmed grinned, wiping sweat from his brow, not noticing the wrinkled noses of his friends nearby.

Ahmed looked around, puzzled by the sudden change. He called out to his friends, but they lingered at a distance, avoiding his gaze. "Why won’t you play with me?" he asked, his voice tinged with confusion and sadness. The only response was a quiet shuffle and a few mumbled excuses.

Ahmed’s Mom wiped her hands on a towel and knelt beside him, her eyes kind and understanding. "Ahmed, have you noticed your friends acting differently lately?" she asked softly. Ahmed nodded, his voice small as he replied, "I don’t understand, Mama. Did I do something wrong?" His mom smiled gently, explaining that taking care of personal hygiene helps others feel comfortable around us.
Ahmed stood at the sink, toothbrush in hand, determined to make a change. His mom stood nearby, offering encouragement as he scrubbed behind his ears and slipped into a clean shirt. "You’ll feel better and your friends will notice the difference," she assured him, her smile bright with pride.
Ahmed approached his friends, his hair tidy and clothes crisp. The boys and girls glanced at him, then smiled, waving him over to join their game. Samir, the team captain, called out, "Hey Ahmed! Come play on our team!" Ahmed beamed, feeling a new sense of confidence as he ran to join them.
Ahmed sat beside his friends, feeling accepted and joyful. He realized that by taking care of himself, he not only felt healthier but also strengthened his friendships. "I’m glad I learned to take care of myself. It makes everything better," he said, and his friends nodded in agreement.
