Angus, a small westie with endearing floppy ears, sat quietly by a tree. His eyes followed the energetic dogs, longing to join them. But he felt unsure, his heart heavy with the weight of loneliness. Despite the lively atmosphere, Angus felt like an outsider looking in.
Gathering his courage, Angus approached them, hoping for a friendly exchange. "Hi there! Can I play with you?" he asked tentatively. But the German shepherds sneered, their voices sharp. "Look at your ears! You don't belong here," one mocked. Crestfallen, Angus turned away, feeling smaller than ever.
Teigan, the female boxer, nudged her companion, Harley. "That's not right, Harley," she said, her voice laced with concern. Harley nodded, his eyes sympathetic. They approached Angus, their demeanor friendly and inviting. "Don't mind them. Would you like to help us find our friend, Teri?" Angus looked up, his spirits lifting at their kindness. "I'd love to!" he replied, wagging his tail.
Angus led the way, his nose twitching as he picked up scents. Teigan and Harley followed closely, their eyes scanning the park. "Teri loves hiding spots," Teigan mentioned. Harley added, "We can always count on Angus's nose!" Angus smiled, his confidence growing with each step as they ventured deeper into the park.
Angus paused, his nose pointing towards the bushes. "I think I found something!" he announced. Teigan and Harley peered into the foliage, their eyes lighting up. There, nestled comfortably, was Teri, another westie, her coat gleaming in the sunlight. "You found me!" she barked happily, bounding out to greet them.
Teri wagged her tail, grateful for her new friend's help. "Thanks to Angus, we found you quickly!" Teigan praised. Harley added, "You're a true friend, Angus." Angus beamed with happiness, surrounded by friends who appreciated him for who he was. As they played together, the park was no longer a place of solitude, but a haven of joy and companionship.
