Annie, a curious little girl with curly brown hair and big blue eyes, sits at a round table, wiggling in her chair. Today is the day her class learns about the letter Aa, and she can hardly wait.
"I wonder what fun things start with Aa," she whispers to herself, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.
Mr. Allen, the friendly teacher, stands beside the basket, smiling at the class. He picks up a bright red apple and holds it high.
"Can anyone tell me what this is?" he asks, his voice warm and inviting.
"That's an apple! Apple starts with Aa!" Annie calls out, bouncing in her seat.
Annie looks up in wonder at the apples hanging everywhere. She hears a rustle and turns to see a tiny ant wearing a green backpack.
Andy the Ant, cheerful and helpful, waves at her.
"Hello, Annie! Would you like to have an apple adventure with me?"
"Oh, yes! Let's see what amazing things we can find that start with Aa!"
They spot an airplane soaring across the sky, making gentle loops. Nearby, an artist sits on a bench, painting a big apple with her paintbrush. In the grass, an acorn waits to become a mighty oak tree.
"Look, Annie! Airplane, artist, and acorn all start with Aa!"
"I never knew there were so many Aa words in the world," Annie giggles, feeling proud.
Annie raises her hand, her cheeks rosy with excitement.
"I went on an amazing apple adventure with Andy the Ant! We found airplane, artist, and acorn—all with Aa!"
"Wonderful, Annie! The letter Aa really is amazing," says Mr. Allen, clapping his hands.
Annie takes a big, crunchy bite of her apple, imagining all the other Aa adventures waiting for her.
"I can't wait to see what we learn tomorrow!" she says, her heart full of wonder.
