Batgirl sat on the plush sofa, her arms enveloping Little Alex in a gentle embrace. Wrapped snugly in a soft, patterned blanket, he nestled close, his eyes wide with anticipation as she opened the book.
"Once upon a time, in a faraway kingdom, a beautiful princess lay asleep..." Batgirl began, her voice calm and enchanting. Alex listened intently, his small hand clutching the edge of the blanket.
Alex could almost see the castle towers and feel the thorny vines surrounding them. "And with a gentle kiss, the spell was broken," she narrated, her voice wrapping around the words like a warm hug.
Little Alex looked up at Batgirl, his eyes sparkling with wonder. "Do you think I'll ever be as brave as the prince?" he asked, his voice a whisper of hope.
Batgirl smiled softly, brushing a stray lock of hair from Alex's forehead. "You're already braver than you know," she assured him, her voice filled with kindness.
Alex yawned, snuggling deeper into the blanket. Batgirl closed the book gently, her heart full as she watched him drift into a peaceful sleep, dreaming of kingdoms and bravery.
