Benny the Bear ambled slowly into the field, stretching after a long nap. His fur glistened with dew, and his nose twitched at the sweet scent of honey lingering in the air. As he wandered closer to a patch of bright yellow flowers, a tiny bee zipped by, busy at work.
Bella the Bee darted up, wary of the approaching giant. "Excuse me, Mr. Bear! Please be careful—these flowers are my home," she buzzed, hovering bravely before him.
"Oh! I didn’t mean to scare you. I just wanted a taste of that delicious honey," rumbled Benny, looking apologetic.
Bella hesitated, glancing between Benny and her flowers. "If you trample the flowers, there won’t be any honey for anyone," she explained. The bear frowned, realizing his big paws could easily crush the delicate plants.
"I never thought of it that way. I suppose I have a lot to learn about how things work here," he admitted, sitting back carefully.
Bella buzzed from flower to flower, showing Benny how careful she was while collecting nectar. "See? If we all respect each other’s space and work together, there’s enough for everyone," she explained while guiding him away from the most fragile blossoms. Benny nodded, stepping softly and doing his best not to disturb anything.
"Thank you for teaching me, Bella. I promise to always be careful from now on," said Benny, savoring the sweet treat.
"And I’m glad to have a gentle giant as my friend," replied Bella, fluttering happily around his nose.
Benny looked around, feeling grateful for his new friend and the lesson he had learned. "Working together makes everything sweeter," he mused. Bella nodded, humming in agreement as day turned gently into night.
