Emma noticed her mommy sitting quietly by the window, looking out at the garden. Her mommy’s eyes were a bit watery, and Emma felt a little worried. She hugged her teddy bear tighter and decided to go sit next to her mommy. "Mommy, why are you sad?" she asked softly.
Mommy turned to Emma and took her tiny hand. "Sweetheart, Grandma is not feeling very well. The doctors are helping her, but it makes me a little sad because I love her so much," she said. Emma nodded, understanding a little more. She knew Grandma was very special.
Emma decided to make her mommy smile. "Can we make Grandma's favorite cookies?" she asked eagerly. Mommy nodded, her smile growing brighter. Together, they mixed and stirred, each cookie a little reminder of Grandma's love. As they worked, Emma felt happy to help.
Emma turned the pages, pointing at pictures of Grandma. "Remember when Grandma took us to the park?" she giggled. Mommy nodded, laughing softly. "Yes, she loves us very much," she said, feeling a little better with Emma's stories and cuddles.
Emma whispered to her teddy, "We have to be strong for Mommy and Grandma," as her mommy tucked her into bed. Mommy kissed her forehead gently. "Thank you for being my sunshine, Emma," she said, feeling grateful for her daughter's kind heart.
Emma dreamed of Grandma being well again, smiling and playing in the garden. She knew it might take time, but she felt strong and brave knowing she could help her mommy by being there, sharing love and laughter. In her dreams, everything was filled with hope and happiness.
