Benny the Bunny bounced from one toy to another, his nose twitching with excitement. Today was a big day. He couldn’t wait to meet his new sibling.
"I wonder what my new brother or sister will be like,"
Mama Bunny smiled as she placed the bundle on a pillow.
Benny crept closer, his eyes wide with curiosity.
"Say hello to your new sibling, Benny!"
Benny watched as Mama cuddled the baby. All the attention was on the tiny bunny. Benny felt a strange, twisty feeling in his tummy.
"No one is playing with me," he whispered.
Papa Bunny patted Benny’s head, but Benny turned away. He didn’t want to share today.
"Why does the baby get everything first?"
"Benny, I love you so much," Mama said.
"But I feel left out,"
"It’s okay to feel that way. The baby is new and needs lots of help. You’re still very special,"
Benny tiptoes closer and watches the baby sleep.
"Maybe the baby feels shy too," he thinks.
Benny helps Mama with the baby’s bottle. Sometimes he feels jealous, but he tries to be patient.
"I can be a good big brother,"
Benny smiles.
"Sharing makes me feel happy,"
Benny hops fast, and the baby bunny tries to catch him.
"Let’s play together every day!"
Mama Bunny and Papa Bunny hug Benny and the baby tight.
"We are so proud of you, Benny,"
Benny looks at his sibling and smiles.
"I love you, little bunny,"
Benny sighs happily.
"Tomorrow will be another fun day,"
