Lulu sat on her bed, her big brown eyes filled with a mix of curiosity and worry. Her fingers twirled absentmindedly through her hair as she watched Mommy pack a suitcase.
"Mommy, who will help me when you're gone?" she asked, her voice small and uncertain.
Mommy knelt beside Lulu, her eyes filled with warmth and understanding. "Sweetheart, you'll have Grandma to help you with all the things I do. But there's something special we can do together, even when I'm far away," she said, pointing towards the window.
Lulu followed Mommy to the window, her eyes wide with wonder as she gazed at the moon. "See the moon up there? It's the same moon I'll be looking at too," Mommy explained gently. "Whenever you miss me, just blow a kiss to the moon, and I'll catch it and send one back."
Lulu took a deep breath and blew a gentle kiss towards the moon. Her heart felt lighter, as if her love had traveled across the night sky to reach Mommy. "Will you really feel it?" she asked, her voice tinged with hope.
Mommy smiled and nodded, wrapping Lulu in a warm embrace. "Yes, darling. And every night, I'll blow kisses back to you. They'll wrap around you like a cozy blanket," she assured her, kissing Lulu's forehead gently.
Lulu felt a sense of peace as she drifted off to sleep, knowing that the moon was their special connection. Each night, she looked forward to blowing kisses to the moon, feeling her Mommy's love reach her, no matter how far away she was.
