Bodie blinked sleepily as he looked out his window, expecting to see his quiet backyard. Instead, he gasped in delight at the magical, blocky world outside—each tree, hill, and river looked like it was made from giant building blocks.
"Wow! My backyard looks like a video game!"
He hurried to get dressed, grabbed his trusty toy toolbox, and raced out the door, his heart fluttering with excitement but not a hint of fear.
Bodie wandered into the new world, his shoes crunching on the square grass. He tapped on a tree, discovering that the trunk was sturdy and smooth.
"If everything is made of blocks, maybe I can build something amazing,"
he mused, gathering wood and stacking it with care. Using his toy hammer and screwdriver, he began to build a small wooden fort, piece by piece, his imagination guiding every move.
As night crept in, Bodie finished his fort just in time. The shadows outside shifted and formed silly-looking monsters—one with a cube-shaped head, another with glowing rectangle eyes—but their goofy appearance made him giggle.
"I’ll stay safe in here and think of a clever way to say hello,"
he whispered, pulling his blanket close. He drew pictures and made up funny monster names, feeling cozy and brave by the warm lantern light.
Day after day, Bodie worked hard, using his creativity to build bigger and better things—a treehouse high in the square trees, a vegetable garden bursting with color, and even a tiny village where friendly neighbors moved in.
"Welcome, everyone! There’s room for all kinds of friends here,"
he called, sharing his tools and helping others build their homes. Through kindness and teamwork, the empty wilderness became a joyful, bustling place.
Curious, Bodie tiptoed into his garden shed and found a glowing purple doorway. He took a deep breath and stepped through, finding himself in a fiery, rocky world—lava rivers and strange, blocky creatures everywhere.
"Hello! I don’t want to fight. Maybe I can help,"
he called to a worried cube-creature stuck on a ledge. Using clever thinking and his trusty toolbox, Bodie built a safe path, solved tricky puzzles, and collected glowing stones, learning that bravery means helping others, even when things seem scary.
Following the clues, Bodie discovered a hidden stone circle and stepped through, rising into a floating sky world. There, he met a dragon—not fierce, but shy and longing for a friend.
"I’m not afraid of you. Let’s be friends,"
Bodie said, offering a hand. Together, they soared through the clouds, lighting up the dark sky with lanterns and laughter, restoring balance and bringing joy to the sky world.

As the adventure ended, Bodie stepped back into his backyard, waving goodbye to the magical worlds he’d helped. The blocky shapes melted away, but the memories and lessons stayed deep inside him.
"Imagination can turn any day into an adventure,"
he whispered, smiling. And though his backyard looked ordinary once more, he knew that with kindness, courage, and creativity, any world could become something amazing.
