Wyatt Bob, a 10-year-old boy with tousled brown hair and a wild imagination, leaps out of bed, clutching his favorite superhero belt. The air is filled with excitement; today is the day his favorite TV show, “Metal Serpents,” airs a new episode. Wyatt hums the theme song as he rushes downstairs, already daydreaming about having powers of his own.
Ekans, a snake boy with no scales but a shimmering, metallic aura, whispers to his belt, feeling the surge of power from the gem. Ekans can summon metal snakes with a flick of his wrist, but dreams of being a normal boy. As he faces down a looming shadow, the gem begins to pulse with a strange energy, rippling out from the TV and into Wyatt’s room.

Wyatt gasps as he’s pulled toward the screen, feeling himself stretch, compress, and twist. At the same moment, Ekans blinks and finds himself in a strange new room, surrounded by posters of superheroes and the scent of pancakes. Both boys stare at their new bodies in shock, hands and tails trembling.

"Whoa... I have a tail! And... wait, can I control metal snakes?" Wyatt tries to summon a snake, and a shining silver serpent bursts from the ground, coiling protectively around him. Meanwhile, Ekans, now in Wyatt’s body, stumbles around the bedroom, marveling at his fingers and toes, but feeling powerless without the gem.
"I don’t know how to be a human boy. How do you deal with all these… feelings?"
"And I don’t know how to be a hero! What if I mess up? What if I can’t control the snakes?"
"You just have to trust the belt—and yourself. I always wanted to be normal, but maybe being different isn’t so bad."
Wyatt, gathering his courage, channels the belt’s power, summoning a legion of metal snakes that weave together into a protective barrier. He faces the bird, voice trembling but strong. "I may be new at this, but heroes never give up! Leave them alone!" The snakes surge forward, driving the bird away and saving the animals.

Wyatt looks at his belt, now just a toy, but with a new sense of confidence. Ekans smiles, feeling a little more human inside. Both boys now understand the power—and the challenge—of walking in someone else’s shoes.
